Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Principal Safety Case Consultant for a flexible, UK-based role with hybrid working options. You will lead the safety case strategy, manage teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across major projects from locations including Warrington, Leicester, Newbury or Bristol.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering or science degree, significant safety case experience, and strong collaboration skills to engage across disciplines and with regulators.

Qualifications

• This role requires an engineering or science degree with significant relevant experience.
• Chartered status is preferred or candidates actively working toward it.
• Experience in safety case development and regulatory interactions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide nuclear safety input across all project lifecycle stages.
• Lead safety case strategy, documentation, and regulatory compliance work.
• Manage safety case delivery teams and coordinate with Supply Chain.
• Oversee HAZID/HAZOP activities and develop hazard management strategies.
• Produce Safety Reports, PSRs/PCSRs, and supporting technical reports.
