Job summary

PWHytek Ltd. is seeking a Principal Planning professional to support a major nuclear project. The role requires technical leadership, and the candidate will mentor junior planning staff. Hybrid working is available with an office base in Warrington.

Essential experience includes delivering large, complex projects in regulated environments and proficiency with Primavera P6. A degree in engineering or related discipline is desirable with recognized PM qualifications.

Experience:

Essential experience of the Principal Planner

• Proven experience planning large, complex projects or programmes
• Experience working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or rail
• Strong, hands‑on expertise using Primavera P6
• Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring planning teams
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to multi‑discipline programme delivery

Qualifications for the Principal Planner

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable)
• Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent demonstrable experience

• An engineering or scientific HNC (or equivalent)
• You will have 5 years+ project planning experience
• Nuclear / Defence Experience
• Knowledge and experience of using process & planning tools such as Primavera P6
• Must be able to obtain security clearance
• You will be well versed in the use of computer packages such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint
