Overview

The role is within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and is based at Wythenshawe Hospital, with the opportunity to provide up to one day a week to a community pain team in Trafford.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior support and oversight to the development of pain services, contributing to Pain Management Programmes.
  • Provide management/clinical supervision to other practitioner psychologists.
  • Deliver specialist assessment, consultation and intervention within the chronic pain specialism.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and participate in service development, audit and research projects.
  • Deliver up to one day a week of input into a community pain team.
Qualifications
  • Qualified practitioner psychologist with experience in chronic pain specialism.
  • Experience in supervising or providing clinical support to other psychologists.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team and for service development, audit and research.
