Principal Planner
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing a leading, multi-disciplinary consultancy that delivers high-quality planning solutions across residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use projects. Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a highly motivated Principal Planner to join their thriving Stratford-upon-Avon team.

The Role

As a Principal Planner, you will:

• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and submit complex planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents.
• Provide strategic planning advice to a range of clients, including developers, landowners, and local authorities.
• Manage and mentor junior team members.
• Engage with stakeholders, attend public consultations, and represent clients at planning committees and inquiries.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded planning professional who has:

• RTPI membership.
• Proven experience in managing major and complex planning projects.
• Strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• A track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
