Are you an expert in Oracle Cloud Financials, ready to elevate your career and make a significant impact? Version 1 – the UK & Ireland’s premier Oracle Cloud partner and 2023 Oracle EMEA Innovation Partner of the Year – is searching for a passionate Principal Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant to spearhead next‑generation finance transformations.

Responsibilities & Experience
  • Lead flagship Oracle Cloud Financials projects across modules such as GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Tax, Procurement, Assets, and Expenses.
  • Own the client journey from PoC configuration to workshops, integrations, data migrations, testing and post‑go‑live enablement.
  • Showcase Oracle capabilities by demonstrating Oracle Transactional BI, FRS, Smart View and delivering tailored reporting insight.
  • Ensure client success: drive user adoption, change management, quarterly release adoption and deliver timely, high‑quality status reports.
  • Lead and implement primary Oracle Cloud Financials modules.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud instance for Client Proof of Concept.
  • Demonstrate Oracle Cloud functionality.
  • Oversee requirements definition, design and gap analysis.
  • Lead application configuration.
  • Drive functional support of technical activities such as data migration and integration.
  • Lead solution validation workshops.
  • Oversee testing support, training delivery, post‑go‑live support and other related aspects of functional implementation advice and guidance.
  • Work with and support other implementation consultants as part of a project team.
  • Identify and document business requirements and configuration using the Oracle OUM and/or AIM methodology.
  • Create high‑quality functional specification documentation that details business processes and enables technical build where integrations are required between Oracle Cloud ERP and peripheral systems.
  • Support the client through full testing lifecycles and Go Live including test script creation.
  • Ensure full knowledge transfer to clients/support team including key user training.
  • Manage change requests through the development and testing lifecycle in accordance with project management standards and scope.
  • Liaise with Oracle to ensure effective management of client SRs.
  • Keep clients up to date with the latest Oracle Cloud quarterly releases.
  • Manage on‑time project delivery and business expectations and ensure internal customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with risk management and change management on projects.
  • Advise clients on options, risks and any impacts on other processes or systems.
  • Communicate effectively and drive project deliverables.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Provide status and issue reports to the project manager/client on a regular basis.
  • Have deep Oracle Cloud Financials domain expertise, including GL, AP, AR, Cash, Tax, Subledger Accounting, Procurement and Assets – ideally across several full cycles.
  • Be skilled in reporting tools like OTBI, FR Studio and Smart View and be comfortable creating functional specifications using OUM/AIM.
  • Thrive in stakeholder‑facing environments, guiding workshops, capturing requirements, writing scripts, supporting UAT and delivering knowledge transfer.
  • Be organised, independent and able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams effectively.
  • Bonus: You have an accounting background, experience with broader EPM modules or strong integration & REST/API skills.
  • This role requires SC clearance or eligibility (minimum 2 years UK residency), facilitating participation in secure, government‑level Oracle Cloud projects.
