A local authority in Scotland is seeking a Principal Officer to lead digital transformation and manage information governance. The ideal candidate will have SCQF Level 9 qualifications, strong analytical and leadership skills, and experience in a complex organization. This role focuses on delivering business change and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), our Business Development service supports transformation and continuous improvement across health and social care. We enable services to redesign how care is delivered, strengthen information governance, and make the best use of data and digital technologies - including modern collaboration platforms - to improve outcomes for citizens and staff. We also support the Glasgow City Integration Joint Board (IJB) in delivering its Strategic Plan through robust programme delivery, governance and service improvement.
This is a strategic leadership role, heading the Information Management & Business Change Team within Business Development. You will:
You’ll be educated to Scottish Qualifications Framework SCQF Level 9 / equivalent professional qualification and/or have equivalent relevant experience. You'll bring excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; strong report writing and presentation capability; proven leadership and collaborative working; sound judgment under pressure; and advanced digital literacy with strong analytical skills. Knowledge of data protection and information security, information/records management, and national/local ICT & Digital strategies is essential. Experience within GCC, NHS or a similar complex organisation - including staff/resource management - is also essential.
