Job summary

Veson Nautical LLC is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud. The role focuses on growing our GCP footprint, cross-region collaboration, and strong automation practices.

You will lead greenfield projects, modernize existing systems, and mentor teammates to spread multi-cloud expertise. London hybrid work model with 2-3 office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years building SaaS platforms at scale in 24x7 environments.
• Extensive GCP experience with production workloads.
• Kubernetes production experience on GKE.
• IaC with Terraform (GCP provider).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable cloud infra across GCP and AWS.
• Lead greenfield infra builds and modernize existing patterns.
• Solve cross-region/account cloud problems (networking, identity, data movement).
• Automate provisioning with Terraform and IaC tooling.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, observability.
• Mentor engineers to broaden GCP and multi-cloud skills.
• Partner with development teams for reliability and performance.
• Drive design reviews and documentation.
• Improve incident response and prevent recurrence.
• Improve cost efficiency of cloud footprint.
