Job summary

Design Services Ltd. is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) in Manchester for a permanent role with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

The candidate will lead mechanical building services design, mentor junior staff, and contribute to bids and tender documentation while delivering across multiple projects. The role requires Chartered CIBSE status or equivalent, a strong track record in HVAC and public health systems, and eligibility for UK security clearance.

Principal Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Our client is currently looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) for there Manchester offices, the role is a permanent staff position and will be offering a salary that is commensurate with experience, this role will be across multiple projects and will be offering the opportunity of hybrid working which will be 3 days in the office and the rest from home.

The client is looking for candidates that is chartered as a CIBSE member or equivalent as well as being able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering projects across the relevant industry sectors. Candidates must have people management experience showing that they have managed teams ranging from apprentices / gradates through to senior engineers.

Candidates must show that they are experience in contributing to bids, proposals and tender documentation from previous working experience as well as having experience of design of mechanical building service systems including HVAC and public health, during the role you will manage, lead, mentor and develop junior staff while working on their own personal development and career growth.

This role will be working in the Nuclear and Defence industry so will require candidates to have the eligibility to gain Security clearance as some projects may require this. The Right To Work in the UK must be established.
