About the Role:

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a long-established manufacturer who are seeking a Principal Engineer to provide structural, reliability, and technical analysis across a range of high-integrity products. You'll lead analysis activities, support development and verification, and act as a key technical interface within a regulated, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver structural, reliability, and system safety analysis
  • Support root‑cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Define and oversee development and qualification tests
  • Maintain and improve in-house analysis tools and methods
  • Produce technical documents (stress reports & test plans)
  • Support design reviews and programme verification activities
  • Act as the project focal point for stress and reliability matters
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or Science
  • Strong knowledge of classical structural analysis and linear FEA
  • Experience in regulated industries (aerospace & automotive)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organisation, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • MathCAD experience
  • Reliability engineering (FMECA, FTA)
