A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will manage projects related to water systems and provide engineering leadership to junior team members. Ideal applicants will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and charter status with the IMechE, along with strong communication skills and experience in mechanical design.
We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join us in our office in Leeds or Cambridge. With hybrid working allowing for a combination of in-office and home working, this role would suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer who wants to take their next step in their career within an industry-leading consultancy by working on exciting projects in the water sector. We are also responding to the current ecological crisis in the UK by designing infrastructure that conforms to the Eel Regulations 2009. As part of this role, you will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support including site surveys and investigations. You also be responsible for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will also manage and guide the more junior team members and help with their development.
