Salary: £50-60k per annum

Location: Stevenage (or Bristol)

Working: Hybrid (3-4 days on site)

Clearance: SC eligibility

What you will need
  • British nationality and SC clearance eligible
  • Significant experience in mechanical design and development
  • Ability to lead design work packages within multidisciplinary teams
  • Awareness of proving and qualification activities to meet requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the development of mechanical solutions across complex systems.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept to production.
  • Applying robust design techniques such as DFMEA, DFA, and DFM.
  • Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to influence design outcomes.
  • Supporting compliance, proving, and qualification activities.
  • Contributing to structural, thermal, or dynamic analysis as needed.
Your experience
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive mechanical design experience in complex systems.
  • Strong 3D CAD/CAE skills (training on preferred tools provided).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to influence effectively.
  • Experience of supplier engagement and multi-cultural team collaboration.
  • Calm, professional, and able to prioritise multiple tasks.
