What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the mechanical design of automated and manual loading systems from concept through to production
  • Oversee detailed design, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and CE standards
  • Mentor and guide junior design engineers, embedding best practices and promoting a culture of excellence
  • Standardise and optimise designs through continuous improvement and value engineering
  • Provide technical support and analysis for root cause investigations and design improvements
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams globally to align projects with company strategy
  • Support the implementation of DriveWorks and structured design systems
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within manufacturing, automation, or industrial machinery
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a creative, solutions‑focused approach
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor and influence others
  • Commitment to environmental and safety standards
  • Desirable: Experience with DriveWorks or similar design automation tools
Working arrangements
  • Location: Liverpool (onsite collaboration expected)
