Job summary

FryerMiles is recruiting a Principal Management Consultant to support major digital and business transformation programmes across UK Government, including Homeland Security, Policing and Justice. The role is permanent with a salary of £70,000 to £76,000 and is London or Cheltenham based with hybrid working.

You will lead complex engagements, shape strategy with senior stakeholders and mentor teams while identifying new business opportunities and contributing to bids.

• Must have strong management consulting experience within government/public sector.
• Proven track record leading digital or organisational transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and strategic problem solving.

FryerMiles are working with a specialist UK management consultancy to assist in their recruitment a Principal Consultant to support major digital and business transformation programmes across UK Government, including Homeland Security, Policing and Justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex consulting and transformation engagements across UK Government.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping strategy and delivery.
• Lead engagements from problem definition through to implementation.
• Manage and mentor consulting teams, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to bids, proposals and account growth.
• Support the development of consulting propositions and capabilities.

Essential Experience

• Strong management consulting experience within UK Government / public sector.
• Experience leading major digital or organisational transformation programmes.
• Expertise in one or more of:
• Secure cloud transformation
• AI / digital transformation
• GDS / User-Centred Design
• Digital service delivery
• Strong understanding of the Government DDaT landscape.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Government governance, funding and approval processes.
• Experience working within complex or secure environments.
• Eligibility for high-level UK security clearance.

Desirable

• Experience supporting business development, bids and proposals.
• BCS, MSP, MoP, P3O, Prosci, TOGAF or similar professional qualifications.
