An educational institution in the UK is seeking a Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Professional Practice to lead the strategic direction of postgraduate studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, curriculum development expertise, and an exemplary track record in higher education. A doctorate in a relevant field and ideally HCPC registration as a practitioner of counselling psychology or psychotherapy is required. This role offers a key position within the Senior Leadership Team and the chance to inspire future practitioners.
The School of Education and Psychology is seeking a Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Professional Practice to drive forward the strategic direction within the discipline with a particular focus on leading postgraduate study.
You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the new school. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate that they are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record within teaching in Higher Education.
You will need to demonstrate experience of leadership and management, curriculum development across Psychology including programme development, accreditation, student success, research and external partnerships. You should have experience of the relevant UK PSRB requirements. This post requires someone who can bring the ‘lived experience’ with current and relevant professional practice as a role model for others.
To be considered for the position, candidates must hold a doctorate in a relevant field. Candidates will ideally be an HCPC registered practitioner of counselling psychology (or clinical) and psychotherapy.
