Overview

Stantec’s Environmental Services Team works closely with our clients to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions. We are looking for driven individuals who think differently and love to challenge conventional thinking to join us in a growing, collaborative team of like-minded professionals addressing industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges.

We seek a highly motivated Senior or Principal Geo-environmental Consultant to join our Ground Assessment team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity with potential for career progression in a flexible environment balancing home and office work to support effective teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of UK infrastructure programmes, primarily in the water sector, with key clients such as Yorkshire Water and United Utilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams and provide support and advice to contractors.
  • Provide technical management and specialist input to a broad range of projects through all stages of the project lifecycle, relating to the characterisation of materials and contaminated site management.
  • Possibly undertake team management, project management, client relationship management, business development and strategic support, depending on interests and experience.
  • Contribute to the diversification and growth of Stantec UK through opportunities across diversified business lines.
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Geology, Hydrogeology, or any other relevant subject and chartered with a relevant professional institution (e.g., the Geological Society).
  • Additional professional certifications such as SiLC, SQP or CL:AIRE/DOW COP QP will be viewed favourably.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to forge new working relationships with clients, joint venture partners, stakeholders and peers.
  • Solid experience in the assessment of land quality evaluation and contaminated site management within a consulting environment.
