Job summary

La Fosse is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer in Liverpool, with a hybrid work pattern (2 days in the office). The role focuses on rebuilding a core platform on a modern Node.js stack, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring a senior team.

You will work closely with product and leadership to shape the platform, embed AI tooling in daily workflows, and influence technical direction at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production systems in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong full-stack background with React/Next.js.
• Experience making architectural decisions at scale.
• Cloud experience with Azure preferred; AWS/GCP welcomed.
• Experience using AI coding tools in development.
• Senior presence with leadership and stakeholder influence.

Principle Full Stack Engineer - Liverpool - 2 days a week in office - up to £95k

A well-established organisation in the automotive marketing space is hiring a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join at a key moment of transformation. Their platforms power high-intent buying journeys, processing hundreds of thousands of customer interactions each year for some of the world’s biggest automotive brands.

They’re now rebuilding a core platform from the ground up on a modern Node.js stack, while reshaping the engineering function around an AI-first approach. Strong foundations are already in place, but there’s still plenty of greenfield and real opportunity to shape both the product and how the team operates.

The role:

Principal Full Stack Engineer (backend-leaning). You’ll be central to the rebuild, shaping architecture, setting standards and working directly with product and leadership. Small, senior team. High ownership.
