Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to lead flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling across major UK and international schemes. You will provide technical leadership while remaining closely involved in project delivery.

You will mentor junior staff, manage client relationships and contribute to proposals, with a focus on complex Flood Risk Assessments and climate adaptation studies.

Qualifications

• Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology.
• Chartered professional status or working towards Chartership.
• Advanced hydraulic modelling and technical review capability.
• Experience delivering complex Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies.
• Strong client-facing and project management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical staff.

Are you a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant looking for greater technical ownership and exposure to complex projects? This Birmingham opportunity combines hydraulic modelling, hydrology, technical assurance and client responsibility across major UK and international schemes.

The Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will provide technical leadership across flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling while remaining closely involved in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling work
