Your Mission

As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering projects. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Design & Advise: Define functional designs and provide expert advice, ensuring all engineering data and methodologies are validated.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead assurance activities to confirm that designs are robust and meet safety standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and swiftly address issues throughout the product lifecycle, managing change effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are met and incorporated into our projects.
  • Program Management: Provide realistic program status updates, identify challenges, and implement recovery plans.
  • Documentation: Access and apply Quality and HS&E Management System documentation to uphold our standards.
Your Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Proficiency in classical stress analysis and the ability to apply relevant principles and codes.
  • Experience with finite element analysis methods or software.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing processes.Knowledge of naval and industry standards, including environmental regulations.
  • Ben G Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with significant experience.
