A multinational insurance company in Tees Valley seeks a Principal Salesforce Engineer to lead the technical direction for Salesforce projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive software engineering experience, strong Salesforce expertise, and a track record of mentoring teams. We’re looking for a talented, passionate and versatile Principal Salesforce Engineer, to lead the technical direction for Salesforce programs across the Commercial domain, owning the Salesforce technical reference architecture and solution designs. You’ll ensure implementations are built to design, engineering standards, security, performance, and best practices. You’ll mentor engineers, drive technical quality, and partner with product, delivery, and security to realise business outcomes.
Our Salesforce technology stack is mostly made up of the following technologies: APEX, JavaScript, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, Lightening Web Components, HTML, CSS, Custom Objects, Complex Batch Jobs, Triggers, Azure DevOps, Odaseva & Copado, with internal integrations facilitated through our Azure Cloud Services architecture.
This is a hands‑on role, aligning to our wider Principal Engineering function, with close links to Enterprise Architecture and colleagues from other UK entities.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
