Job summary

Arcadis, a leading global design, engineering and consultancy firm, is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to join its expanding rail design teams in London and Bristol. You will lead complex rail infrastructure projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile schemes across bridges, depots and stations.

The role requires chartered status, a MSc in Civil Engineering, and proven experience in delivering major infrastructure projects with strong design risk

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant civil/structural design experience on infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading the delivery of complex engineering projects.
• Strong experience using industry-standard analysis and design software and applying engineering judgement.
• Experience managing design risks and undertaking design assurance activities.
• Rail sector experience including stations, depots, bridges or other rail infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
• CRE experience or willingness to work towards CRE competency; mentoring provided.

Role Description

We are seeking a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join our growing rail design teams in London and Bristol. You will lead the delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects, including bridge replacement, station and depot schemes, working as part of multidisciplinary teams across the business.

With a strong reputation for delivering some of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure projects, including Washwood Heath Depot for HS2, MetroWest Phase 1b and CP7 Framework projects, we offer the opportunity to work on high-profile rail programmes while also contributing across housing and development, local authority, building structures and education sectors.

Role Accountabilities
