Job summary

Navitas Engineering is recruiting a Principal Engineer (CEM) to lead multidisciplinary design and assurance on major projects. The role is available in London or Glasgow with hybrid working and a strong focus on safe, compliant delivery across rail, energy and infrastructure sectors.

You will provide technical leadership, set engineering management arrangements, coordinate interfaces and drive business growth through client engagement and capability development across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related discipline and Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership.
• Significant experience in rail, energy or utility infrastructure sectors.
• Experience acting as CEM or senior engineering coordination role.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary interfaces and manage design assurance.
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations and designer responsibilities.
• Proven capability in risk, programme and commercial project management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordinate multidisciplinary activities throughout projects.
• Act as Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) and oversee engineering management arrangements.
• Lead and develop engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
• Manage project risks and assurance activities and engage in client-facing work.
