We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our growing Water team, based in Birmingham, Redditch, Derby, Bristol or Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role within our EICA capability, delivering complex engineering solutions, influencing technical excellence and supporting the continued growth of our Electrical Engineering teams across the Midlands and South West.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting delivery from early feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support.
You will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical design solutions, ensuring technical quality, compliance and best practice are maintained throughout project delivery. Working closely with Project Managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors and supply chain partners, you will help coordinate multidisciplinary designs, resolve technical challenges and deliver solutions that meet operational, environmental and regulatory requirements.
You will also play an important role in supporting the development of engineers within the team through mentoring, knowledge sharing and providing technical guidance, while contributing to the continued improvement of Stantec’s Electrical Engineering capability.
Your technical expertise will help deliver critical water infrastructure that supports communities, protects the environment and improves the resilience of essential services across the UK.
Through your leadership, you’ll influence engineering decisions, shape project outcomes and help clients deliver sustainable solutions that respond to growing environmental and operational challenges. You’ll also have the opportunity to strengthen our teams, develop future engineering talent and contribute to Stantec’s continued growth as a leader in sustainable infrastructure design.
