Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Principal EC&I Engineer for a major Defence client in the United Kingdom. This full-time hybrid role requires expertise in leading the design and delivery of electrical systems, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and relevant experience in regulated industries. The position is based across Warrington, Bristol, Newbury & Leicester.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading the design and delivery in regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and technical governance.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.

  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
  • Oversee project progress and contribute to strategic planning.

Skills

Leading the design and delivery of complex EC&I systems
Strong understanding of safety standards

Experience with control systems, PLCs, SCADA
Skilled in stakeholder engagement

Education

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
