Job summary
Advantage Resourcing UK Ltd is recruiting a Principal EC&I Engineer to lead EC&I delivery in West Yorkshire, providing technical authority across design, testing and commissioning.
You will guide the team, oversee design activities, coordinate stakeholders, ensure compliance and advise on electrical systems for complex projects.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics, and proficiency with PLC/DCS software and 3D CAD tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or related discipline.
- Demonstrated EC&I engineering experience, preferably in heavy industry or rotating equipment.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating stakeholders.
- Familiar with ISO/DEF-STAN/UK/EU and client standards for electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the team, allocating work and developing performance.
- Deliver EC&I solutions across complex projects with design and commissioning.
- Improve practices, processes and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Produce and approve wiring diagrams, P&IDs, schematics and BOMs.
- Ensure designs meet safety, EMC/EMI, environmental and survivability standards.
- Coordinate interfaces with mechanical and other engineering teams.
- Utilise PLC/DCS software to diagnose issues and resolve root causes.
- Define design requirements and participate in design reviews for client acceptance.
