Job summary

WSP is looking for a Principal or Associate Director to lead drainage engineering across the UK, delivering sustainable water and drainage solutions for major transport projects from concept through to detailed design.

You will lead a team of drainage engineers, manage client relationships, and ensure projects meet technical and commercial targets while expanding our capabilities in rail, highways, and airports. Hybrid work is available across the UK.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependant).
• Extensive experience post degree in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and solutions for infrastructure drainage.
• Experience using Civil 3D and/or Causeway Flow software/MicroDrainage.
• Proven knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Design Standards and Health & Safety regulations.
• Experience managing projects and teams to meet quality and commercial targets.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects (highways, rail, infrastructure, site development).
• Delivery of projects from concept to completion with high technical standards and commercial success.
• Deliver drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings.
• Manage a team of drainage engineers and support their development.
