Principal Digital, Data and Technology Officer

Full-time (37 Hours) – Temporary for 12 months

Grade C1 - £34,434 - £37,280 per annum

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced professional to join the Digital, Data and Technology team; This post puts you at the heart of a dynamic and customer focused service which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s Digital service through ensuring digital services exceed customer expectation.

Job Requirements
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365(Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related services).
  • Knowledge of Active Directoryfor user/group management and policy enforcement (Desirable).
  • Solid networking knowledge(TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, connectivity troubleshooting).
  • Experience in laptop deploymentusing enterprise device management tools.
  • Understanding of MDM solutionsfor mobile device enrolment and management (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of patch managementand software deployment across large environments (Desirable).
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of document management systems across the organisation, ensuring these platforms are secure, and aligned with the council’s digital objectives.
  • Provide complex Microsoft Environment and system-related support to all departments and services.
  • Delivering third line technical troubleshooting and resolving user issues.
  • Experience in developing and supporting a range of automation solutions, including data analysis, workflow automation, artificial intelligence and online organisational interaction platforms
Key Attributes
  • Takes initiative to explore solutions and resolve customer queries.
  • Learn effectively through practical experience in a ServiceDesk setting.
  • Contributes to team efforts and supports council service delivery.
  • Assists staff across departments with technical support.

You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of Digital, Data and Technology service at a technical level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
