Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is recruiting a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead engineers and shape secure automation across hybrid and cloud environments. You will drive CI/CD design, infrastructure as code and container orchestration while embedding security into delivery.

We seek a leader who can balance practical engineering with people management, guiding technical delivery, recruitment support and capability development within the DevOps community.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers and coordinating delivery.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership and mentorship.
• Track record delivering secure DevOps across hybrid/cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for automation and DevOps solutions.
• Lead design and delivery of CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Embed cyber security into pipelines and environments.
• Plan resourcing, estimation, reporting and risk management.
• Provide line management, coaching and capability development.
