Gearing Recruitment Solutions are recruiting experienced Principal Design Engineers across Electrical, Mechanical, Process and Civil disciplines for the UK water sector. Roles offer UK-wide flexibility with approximately 3 days on site per month.

We seek engineers with substantial design experience in water/wastewater, a relevant engineering degree, and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary design projects. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Process or Civil Engineering.
• Significant UK water and wastewater design experience.
• Strong technical knowledge within your discipline.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects.
• Ability to deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of complex Electrical, Mechanical, Process or Civil Engineering solutions across water projects.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Produce, review and approve discipline-specific designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate effectively across civil, mechanical, electrical, process and ICA disciplines.
• Provide technical input from concept through design, construction and commissioning.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical capability across the business.
