UK-Wide Roles in Cable System Design – £90k to £130k | Power & Energy Sector

We are seeking experienced Cable System Design Engineers to join a dynamic team delivering high-profile projects across the Power & Energy sector. These roles are open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, with projects spanning nationwide. From HVDC interconnectors to high-voltage substations, you will have the opportunity to work on transformative projects that shape the future of energy.

We are currently hiring for three key roles :

Principal Cable System Design Engineer (8+ years experience)

Salary: £90k - £110k

In this role, you will lead the design of HV / EHV cable systems, working on a variety of large-scale power and energy projects. You will be responsible for technical calculations, design development, and collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of each project.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in HV / EHV cable system design (132kV–400kV)
• Proficiency in CYMCAP, COMSOL, and design calculations
• Strong leadership, communication, and project delivery skills
• Familiarity with UK transmission and distribution environments

Senior Associate Director - Cable System Design (16+ years experience)

Salary: £110k - £120k

As a Senior Associate Director, you will manage and oversee the design of complex HV / EHV cable systems, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. You will be responsible for managing the design process from conception through to completion, ensuring all projects meet client specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading HV / EHV cable system designs
• Expertise in CYMCAP, COMSOL, and cable design calculations
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
• Extensive experience in UK transmission and distribution projects

Director - Cable System Design (20+ years experience)

Salary: £120k - £130k

In this senior leadership role, you will oversee a range of high-profile cable system design projects across the Power & Energy sector. You will be responsible for driving strategic decisions, ensuring the successful execution of complex projects, and leading a team of engineers to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the design and management of HV / EHV cable systems
