Job summary

Searchability in Gloucester is seeking a Principal Cyber Researcher to lead technical investigations across cyber security disciplines, developing innovative research, building rapid prototypes and identifying emerging vulnerabilities.

The role combines hands-on work with mentoring researchers, contributing to strategic planning, supporting customer engagement and helping shape future research programmes. Hybrid working with 3 days onsite; must be eligible for DV clearance.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C, C++ or Python.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Excellent understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, UDP).
• Experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering or embedded systems research.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience delivering technical research projects from concept to completion.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC and enhanced DV clearance.
