We’re proud to be leading the online gifting revolution, with brilliant products, clever tech and a whole lot of heart. Our platform makes it easy to create moments that matter – packed with personal touches and delivered with care.

We’re not just about selling cards or gifts – we’re here to spread joy, spark smiles and make every celebration feel extra special. And with values that guide how we work and support one another, we’ve built a place where people (and ideas) can truly thrive.

If you’re looking to make an impact, bring your spark and be part of something meaningful – we’d love to have you on the team. 🌙🐷

As a Principal Commercial Analyst, you’ll be the senior individual contributor setting the standard for commercial analytics across our UK business. Your role exists to give the business a rapid, reliable and insight‑led understanding of UK trading performance - and the commercial levers behind it.

You’ll own the analytical view of UK performance for our most important forums, including daily trading updates, monthly business reviews, and budget and reforecast cycles. Working closely with the UK General Manager and senior commercial leaders, you’ll help shape how performance, risks and opportunities are understood, discussed and acted upon.

This is a highly influential role with direct impact on commercial decision‑making, investment choices and growth opportunities. You’ll lead on our most important UK commercial questions, while coordinating and coaching a small group of analysts to deliver work that meets the high standards you set.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for the daily UK trading view, ensuring a clear, accurate and insight‑led narrative is available at pace.
  • Design, build and embed standardised analytical frameworks for core commercial metrics including sales, margin, conversion, AOV and promotion performance.
  • Act as the analytics partner to the UK General Manager and senior commercial leaders, shaping how business performance, risks and opportunities are framed and discussed.
  • Prepare, coordinate and quality‑assure UK commercial analytics content for monthly business reviews, budget and reforecast cycles, and other executive forums.
  • Take ownership of the quality, storytelling and impact of UK commercial analytics outputs, even when analysis is delivered by other analysts.
  • Lead deep‑drive strategic analyses across areas such as category performance, pricing and promotions, and customer value to identify and validate growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineering teams to ensure Snowflake, dbt models and Tableau assets support trusted, well‑defined commercial metrics.
  • Own and drive analytics standards across UK Commercial, including metric definitions, analytical approaches and expectations for quality and storytelling.
  • Partner with International analytics counterparts to ensure consistency of metrics and frameworks across markets, while allowing for sensible local nuance.
  • Provide analytics thought leadership within the wider Data Insights team, sharing best practice on commercial measurement, experimentation and storytelling.
About You
  • Extensive experience in commercial analytics within an e‑commerce environment, operating at a very senior individual contributor level.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with confidence discussing P&L performance, trading levers, pricing, promotions and customer economics.
  • Proven experience partnering closely with senior commercial leaders, ideally at GM or ExCo‑equivalent level.
  • Demonstrated success in standardising metrics and analytical approaches and driving adoption across multiple teams.
  • Comfortable operating at pace and managing ambiguity, forming a pragmatic first view quickly and refining over time.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to turn complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for senior non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring analysts day to day, improving quality and autonomy without formal line management responsibility.
  • Confident challenging assumptions and influencing senior stakeholders with an independent, data‑led perspective.
  • Strong grounding in applied statistics and experimentation, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals and power analysis.
  • Experience using regression and time‑series techniques to understand performance drivers and build sensible forecasts.
  • Expert‑level SQL, with hands‑on experience working directly with large datasets, ideally in Snowflake.
  • Strong Python skills for analysis and automation.
  • Extensive experience building and iterating performance views using Tableau or similar tools.
Our Tech Environment
  • SQL (expert), Python (strong)
  • Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • dbt for data modelling
  • Tableau for visualisation and performance reporting
  • Excel or Google Sheets for light analysis
