A leading community-focused organization in Preston is seeking a Principal Cloud/DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for their Cloud Engineering team. This remote position oversees cloud infrastructure solutions and drives standards while managing technology roadmaps. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Services, you will provide technical leadership to our Cloud Engineering team. The role owns the portfolio of Cloud infrastructure solutions, sets and drives technical standards, and creates and maintains the technology roadmap for Cloud infrastructure with a medium and long term strategy. You will lead the development and enhancement of infrastructure through code to ensure services are resilient, visible, scalable, repeatable and transportable. All developed solutions should meet prescribed standards aligned to best practice cloud engineering and performance requirements. This is a remote role with attendance at face-to-face meetings in Preston about once a month.
