A leading health organization in North Wales seeks a Principal Clinical Psychologist for Older Adult Inpatient Services. This role involves providing psychological leadership and specialized interventions for acute dementia care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in clinical psychology and be proficient in psychological assessment and therapy within a multidisciplinary team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of older adults in a supportive environment.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help make a real difference to Older Adults in acute dementia care services in North Wales. This senior post is to provide psychological input and oversight in acute dementia care psychology services in the in BCUHB West area. Core aims will be to provide psychological leadership for the continued development and delivery of a biopsychosocial MDT for acute dementia care, MDT interventions within older adult dementia care inpatient settings, and to lead the provision of expert advice, consultation, training and supervision in psychological approaches within these settings with the acute care pathway in mind. The post holder will provide psychological interventions, behavioural and neuropsychological assessment, staff training, support and supervision within the acute dementia care pathway in Anglesey and Gwynedd. The post holder will also be required to provide direct expert psychological clinical input to service users and families.
