Job description
Overview

The Mental Health Team based in the Bay network within LSCFT is a local MDT that values creative, person‑centred care. The team supports children, young people and families through an All‑Age Service that is unique across England. New team members will help develop innovative ways of working and share knowledge with colleagues across the local and wider psychological teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Enhanced Specialist Psychological Assessment and Therapy to children, young people and families/carers within the All Age Learning Disability Service (LDS) while adhering to service policies and protocols.
  • Offer Advice and Consultation on children and young people’s psychological care to families, professional carers, colleagues and other professionals, developing formal systems of consultancy within the nominated team(s) under the guidance of the Consultant/Professional Lead.
  • Exercise Autonomy in Professional Practice, governing psychological practice within the designated area of responsibility in accordance with professional guidelines and overall service policies and procedures.
  • Utilise Skills for Research and Audit, Policy and Service Development, implementing policy changes within LDS in agreement with the relevant lead/manager.
