Job Overview

We work to the highest standards. Our complex analysis models are rigorously validated. Everything we do has to be fully evidenced and justified through independent third‑party review and ultimately to the nuclear safety regulators. This role is one of the most varied and challenging positions for a civil/structural engineer, with the main locations based around Winnersh or Glasgow (other UK office locations considered).

Key Responsibilities
  • Inter‑discipline project planning, delivery and financial performance
  • Provision of technical quality and excellence of project deliverables
  • Providing technical and professional guidance, support and development of more junior engineers and technicians
  • Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems
  • Operational and design safety, and developing a good safety culture
Key Requirements
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance (UK national; dual nationals subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions). Eligibility may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency.
  • Good all‑round technical design expertise using British and international standards and/or Eurocodes
  • Proven ability to manage projects and prepare project deliverables, including quality, budget, programme and resources
  • Proven ability in preparing bids and proposals, and developing good working relationships with clients
  • Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer

Successful candidates must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Including being a UK national, dual nationals are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
