A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for its Water Team in Scotland. The role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, providing technical expertise, and mentoring engineers. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering, relevant industry experience, and ideally previous consultancy background. The position promises a challenging pipeline of work along with a commitment to client focus and service excellence.

Within our Glasgow and Edinburgh based teams, we are currently supporting our clients in delivering projects across areas including wastewater infrastructure, storm water overflows and treatment works. In addition to this, our Scottish teams also have the opportunity to support our colleagues across the country, working on projects for Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water and United Utilities.
In order to continue delivering our high‑level expertise, we are looking to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer into our Water Team in Scotland. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the entire project lifecycle in asset planning / strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design. You will provide technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and Stantec expectations, whilst also taking responsibility for the management and mentoring of engineers within the team.
