Job description

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

You will shape how critical project information is created, checked, shared and trusted across complex transportation and infrastructure programmes. Your expertise will help multidisciplinary teams make better decisions, reduce risk and deliver with greater confidence.

You will bring structure to projects where information moves across clients, designers, suppliers and delivery partners. By setting clear standards, strengthening the Common Data Environment and helping teams adopt practical ways of working, you will improve both day‑to‑day delivery and the quality of the final project information.

This is a visible role with genuine influence. You will guide project teams, advise clients and develop colleagues, while helping to identify technology and process improvements that make digital delivery more effective.

About The Opportunity

You’ll lead BIM and information management delivery across complex transportation and infrastructure programmes in the UK and Ireland. Working closely with clients, designers, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams, you’ll establish practical information management processes, strengthen the Common Data Environment and ensure project information is reliable, coordinated and aligned with the UK BIM Framework and BS EN ISO 19650.

This is more than a systems or compliance role. You’ll influence project strategy, resolve information challenges before they affect delivery and help teams adopt more effective ways of working. You’ll also coach colleagues, support capability development and identify technology and process improvements that deliver better outcomes for projects and clients.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Substantial experience delivering BIM and/or information management within engineering, rail, water, construction or infrastructure projects
  • A strong working understanding of project information management principles and how they are applied in live project environments
  • Practical experience applying the UK BIM Framework and the BS EN ISO 19650 series
  • Experience establishing, managing or assuring a Common Data Environment and connected information management systems
  • Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging clients, suppliers and senior project stakeholders
  • The ability to lead delivery, prioritise competing demands and support others in adopting consistent information management practices.

Why Join Us?

Work on high‑profile infrastructure programmes across the UK and Ireland, with potential exposure to international projects.

Take on a principal‑level role with scope to influence project strategy, client outcomes and information management practice.

Develop through varied project experience, collaboration with technical specialists, and opportunities to coach and lead others.

Join a team that values knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and practical solutions rather than process for its own sake.

Use hybrid and flexible working options, with applications considered from a range of UK and Ireland office locations.

Receive the benefits and reward package applicable to the employing location; full details should be shared during the recruitment process.
