As a Principal Backend Developer you help define and execute the technical vision of the product in the Identity value stream within the R&D department. You help with the prototyping and validation of new architectural and technological ideas, ways of working, efficiency gains and refactoring initiatives. You work across departments, foster collaboration, and are the face of our product vision and success internally and externally. You lead by example, radiate our way of working and our path to success. You take on the expert role in all topics related to Backend.

You provide solid technical solutions to complex issues whilst helping us deliver the best customer experience and reinforce company reputation. You use your deep understanding of backend engineering, programming languages and tools to analyse current code and industry developments, formulate efficient processes, solve problems and create a seamless experience for millions of users across the globe.

You coach a team of developers on the client and partner side and provide training to those who work with the platform. You thrive working with colleagues from multiple cultures.

How about you?

• Min 8 years of experience in a similar role
• You have a solid background in software development, design and architectural patterns
• Experience in the banking domain or Fintech products will be considered an advantage, in addition to experience of the IAM domain
• You have excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written
• We are looking forward to learning about your additional skills, like Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest APIs, Microservices, containerization, CI/CD, design patterns and automated tests.
• You are passionate about embracing AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and IntelliJ (AI) and you enjoy shaping the product or platform’s functionality with AI.
• You have a solid background in software development, design and architectural patterns, including microservices
• You have experience coaching more junior members on non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, etc.;
