A leading infrastructure consultancy is opening a brand-new office in Portsmouth, and they’re looking for a Principal/Associate Civil Engineer to take the lead.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior position with autonomy and influence, and to shape a new regional presence from day one. Perfect for someone confident in delivering and managing civil engineering design who’s ready for the next big step.

The Role

You’ll act as the senior technical lead for the new office, handling:

  • Delivery of civil engineering design across drainage, highways & infrastructure
  • S104, S106, S38, S278 work
  • Overseeing quality, project delivery and client management
  • Mentoring juniors as the office grows
  • Supporting business development and helping shape the new team
What You’ll Need
  • Strong UK consultancy background
  • Solid technical skillset (Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Flow/MicroDrainage)
  • Comfortable running projects independently
  • Confident in dealing with clients and leading design delivery
  • Ability to operate as a key senior figure in a but growing office
