Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Principal Architect to define and drive the architectural vision of the software stack for the Graphcore ML accelerator. You will shape the architecture of our software ecosystem and maintain a deep understanding of how hardware and software components interact.

You are an excellent communicator, proactively conveying software architecture and making pragmatic, trade-off-aware decisions with product direction in mind.

Qualifications

• Expertise in firmware, drivers and ML frameworks (PyTorch, Triton, etc).
• Technical expertise in the ML accelerator software space.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to influence.
• Pragmatic decision making with awareness of trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the software architecture of the software stack.
• Work across software domains to ensure end-to-end coherence.
• Clearly communicate the software architecture to engineering teams.
• Ensure teams understand key architecture components, interfaces and principles.
• Maintain architecture as the product evolves and communicate changes proactively.
• Stay informed about trends in the ML/software ecosystem and assess new technologies.
