Job summary

The Woodlands Academy is seeking a headteacher to lead a specialist provision for pupils with complex needs. You will bring significant SEN experience and be an outstanding leader, capable of guiding high-quality teaching and safeguarding across the school.

You will work with the Executive Principal to shape the academy’s future after relocation to a purpose-built facility. You will motivate staff, drive attainment, and build on the academy’s strengths within the Trust to deliver excellent

About The Role and The Woodlands Academy

The Woodlands Academy is a specialist provision supporting more than 165pupils aged 2–16 with a wide range of special educational needs anddisabilities. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), andthe academy works closely with a range of specialist professionals and agenciesto ensure that individual needs are fully understood and effectively met.

Recently relocated to a purpose-built facility, the academy benefitsfrom an exceptional learning environment that supports a carefully designed andambitious curriculum, alongside a wide range of enrichment, therapeutic andpersonal development opportunities. The academy combines high expectations witha deep understanding of the individual needs of every pupil.

The successful candidate will:
