Job summary

Fleet Education Services is seeking a Primary Tutor to support learners around Birmingham through 1:1 and small group tuition. You will design personalised lessons, monitor progression, and collaborate with parents and schools to ensure academic success.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or Level 6 qualification, at least 6 months of UK tutoring experience, and an Enhanced DBS check. Flexible hours and competitive PAYE pay are on offer, with ongoing CPD training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
• Minimum of 6 months UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner academic success.
• Maintaining accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.

Do you want to help young learners thrive in education? Then join Fleet Education Services as a Primary Tutor and support students in and around Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Solihull, Northfield, etc.)through 1:1 and small group tuition. Our demand is mostly for the core subjects, but also includes ESOL/EFL, so no matter your background we want to speak with you.

What You’ll Need to be a Tutor:

• When registering as a Tutor with Fleet you will be listed as an Agency Worker, supporting with tuition engagements as and when they arise. Set amount of hours are not guaranteed.
• You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE.
• Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
