Pay Rate: £85 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, interactive lessons.
  • Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum activities.
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to children who need extra encouragement.
  • Encourage positivity, curiosity, and confidence in every learner.
  • Help create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and offer valuable feedback to staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding and promote pupils’ wellbeing at all times.
Requirements for the role of Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable).
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for helping pupils achieve their best.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
