Primary Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support

Location: Greenwich, South London

Start Date: December 2025

Pay: 95 - 115 per day

Veritas Education is partnering with a warm, inclusive primary school in Greenwich to recruit a committed and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from December 2025.

This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is well known for its nurturing culture and strong commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and build positive relationships within the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient, motivated, and empathetic individual who is passionate about helping children flourish in an engaging and inclusive primary school setting.

The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:
  • Proven experience supporting children in a primary school environment (essential)
  • Understanding of strategies that support learning, communication, and behaviour
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children with additional needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and parents
Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
  • Assisting the class teacher with delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Using creative strategies and resources to promote engagement and understandingMonitoring progress and sharing observations with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
