Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 in the NP44 area from October 2026. The role offers flexible working options across a number of local primary schools and a dedicated education consultant for ongoing support.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience with children, strong communication skills, and a patient, adaptable approach to classroom environments, with a DBS update service willingness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS or current Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to support learning outcomes.
• Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence.
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
• Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
