Job summary

A leading educational staffing agency is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role starting in January 2026 in Eastfield, Scarborough. You will support children aged 3-5 in a nurturing and stimulating environment, working closely with the EYFS team to foster their educational development. About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming Primary School in the Eastfield area of Scarborough. This is a full-time, long-term supply role beginning January 2026 and running until Easter initially, with the potential to continue for the right person.

In this role, you'll be supporting children in Nursery and Reception as they start their educational journey. You'll work closely with the EYFS team to create a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting children during carpet time, play-based learning and small-group activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Assisting with phonics, early maths and communication activities
  • Helping to create a safe, happy and inspiring learning space
  • Building strong relationships with staff, children and families
