Job summary

Amuri Area School is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher to cover maternity leave in a primary setting. The role includes a Year 5–6 class, with flexibility to teach at different levels, as the school covers a broad area from Years 1–15.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach across primary years (Years 1–15) and able to cover maternity leave.
• Experience teaching English and wellbeing/physical education is desirable.
• Ability to teach across multiple subjects including languages, maths, science, arts.

Responsibilities

• Cover maternity leave for a Year 5–6 class in a primary setting.
• Support a composite/area class covering Years 1–15 if required.
• Contribute to pastoral care and learner pathways within Culverden school.

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic teacher to join our primary team to cover the maternity leave of one of our team members.

This vacancy is currently in one of our Year 5-6 classrooms though there may be some flexibility to teach at a different level.

Culverden is a thriving town just over an hour north of Christchurch and 25 minutes from the alpine village of Hanmer Springs.
