Job Overview

West Midlands / temporary / £160 - 220 per day. TeacherActive is working with a primary SEND school in Sheldon looking for a SEND Primary Teacher. The setting focuses on pupil development and progress for children with profound and complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support children with additional needs and/or disabilities.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum for pupils across all Key Stages, particularly those diagnosed with Autism/ASD, SLD/Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD/profound multiple learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual student needs and make a positive impact on the wider school.
  • Handle challenging behaviour confidently and maintain a proactive approach.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities.
  • Experience working with students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
