The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Primary Teacher (Gaelic Medium) at Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce in Edinburgh on a fixed-term basis until 20 December 2027. This Gaelic-medium post requires the ability to read, write and speak Gaelic and serves a vibrant school community.

Salary will be paid pro rata for part-time hours (7.58 hours per week, Wednesdays) and will align with the Council's Teaching Staff Scheme. PVG checks are required as part of pre-employment safeguarding.

Salary: £36,159 - £54,453 (pro rata for part time)

Hours: 7.58 per week (Wednesdays)

Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce is Edinburgh's Gaelic Medium Primary School; a vibrant, multicultural community with 435 children in the school, and a nursery class of 40. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our staff team on a fixed term basis until the end of 2027. Applicants must be able to read, write and speak Gaelic.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
