Job summary

Potterspury Lodge School in Towcester is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students with ASC and complex needs in an independent specialist setting.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week over 39 weeks, with salary up to £42,000 per annum DOE. You will work with a supportive team to inspire young learners aged 8–16, using personalised, accessible teaching and safeguarding practices to promote positive outcomes.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students with ASC or associated conditions and complex needs who are unable to access mainstream education.

The School

Potterspury Lodge School is an Ofsted registered independent specialist school offering 38 week, term time education for students aged 8 – 16 years old with Autism Spectrum Condition, complex needs and challenging behaviour. The purpose of the school is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. We provide a nurturing environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Person Specification

• Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally within a specialist or inclusive environment.
• Strong understanding of continuous provision and its application beyond the Early Years phase.
• Experience working with pupils with ASD, or other additional needs.
• Demonstrated ability to use assessment strategies effectively.
• Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
